A Year of Change is Drawing to a Close

2017 has been an eventful year to say the least. So much has happened this year and I’m pleased with the progress and new avenues I have started exploring.

I have discovered a few things about myself this year. I love photography and a couple of items on my wish list have now been ticked off with a special someone getting me a macro and magnetic tripod. Woo Hoo! I can’t wait to get my paws on those. (I have been told that I must wait before I can play).

I love digital manipulation, the control it gives me to add dimension and deeper meaning to a piece and designing textiles. My mind feels like it’s going to explode with ideas and I’m just trying to play catch up.

Over the holidays, I will have to pull some serious hours to prepare for next year because it’s going to be big!

I have several competitions and exhibitions coming up next year that I need to prepare for. Two copper wall sconces that I’ve designed and now need to execute and a cup chandelier in progress that needs to be gilded in 24K gold.

In between, I will find time to take a couple of days out, to just have some fun and before I totally drain the remaining battery life I have left. I feel exhausted just thinking about what's involved but it’s going to be fun!

Right now, I must dash or I will be late for my trim at the hairdresser. She has a naughty and nice list comprised of her clients, apparently I’ve been put on the naughty list….sounds about right.

Happy Holidays everyone, keep safe. Are your goals as ridiculous and crazy as mine? Let me know, crazy loves company!
