Art Fix of the Month
I have a growing collection of acrylic paints fighting for space in my studio. They are there for the day I get around to playing with fluid abstract art.
In the meantime, I thought it would be wonderful to explore different acrylic painting techniques (and maybe even create some of my very own) as a way to get used to the medium.
Any time you play with an art material, you become more comfortable with it, so throwing all caution to the wind I decided to paint a stylised version of one of our cats (that collection also seems to be growing) with a crackle effect over the top that I invented.
For my first crack at it, (pun not intended) I have to say, I'm pretty pleased. Not a Monet by any stretch but not a Picasso either (thankfully).
What's your art fix?
